In detail...

Stokesley provides a true taste of the country life and is located in a rural farming area between Middlesborough, Guisborough and Northallerton. A farmers' market takes place on the first Saturday of each month and a weekly market is held at the Plain on a Friday.

With around 40 locally sourced and delicious food and drink stalls, there’s no wonder that Northern Dales Farmers’ Market has been credited with Farmers market of the year and the Telegraphs top farmers market in the UK.

Stokesley Agricultural Show is held every year, bringing thousands of punters from all over England; this is an intrinsic event for North Yorkshire, being the largest Agricultural show in the country.

A Friendly and stylish place to live

Historic Georgian High Street

Tanton Fields lifestyle image

In and amongst the fine Georgian buildings dotted around the town, Stokesley boasts a historic high street, still intact, and lined with many independent small shops and restaurants. Other facilities include a medium-sized supermarket, show-ground, camping site, health centre, Library, Police and fire stations and a leisure centre which houses a swimming pool. And, with five pubs, the town is a great place to spend time with friends.

The town is the home of Quorn, produced by Marlow Foods, which employs many locals.
