From December, the 12-mile dual carriageway bypass will
dramatically reduce traffic through Fenstanton, while the wider £1.5bn
improvement scheme for the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon will improve
journey times for commuters from 2020.
The bypass was due to open at the end of 2020, but the Department
for Transport has announced it is ahead of schedule and the road will be in use
a year early.
Rhiannon Jones, regional sales and marketing manager for
Kier Living Eastern, said: “Immediately after the Department for Transport’s
announcement, we noticed more interest from prospective buyers. We’re excited
for residents of The Park to reap the benefits of the new and improved A14,
with commuters to Cambridge in particular set to enjoy a faster journey to work
each day.”
“There are just 30 homes remaining at The Park and six of
these are ready for buyers to move in. The village of Fenstanton is a
vibrant community boasting a picturesque rural lifestyle, with easy access to
Cambridge.”
