The ten volunteers painted and varnished seating, fencing and wooden bollards around the village pond and clock tower area in the heart of the village.
Kier Living Eastern managing director, Nick Moore said: “Our Community Action Days are a great way to get to know local people and organisations in those places where we are working to bring new homes. We enjoyed working with Fenstanton Parish Council on this project, which is close to our new development, The Park. By the end of the day we had given the area a smart new look and we hope residents will enjoy using the facilities for years to come.”
Fenstanton Parish Council Clerk and RFO Annette Eggett said: “They were a great team and their hard work has made a real difference to one of the focal points of our beautiful village. The parish council is very grateful for the fantastic job they have done.”
The Park consists of 3, 4 and 5-bedroom houses perfect for first-time buyers, expanding families searching for larger homes and couples looking to downsize.
