Through these sites, Kier Living will deliver over 900 homes and support
the Government’s aim to deliver vital new housing.
The largest of these
three developments is Hardingstone in Northamptonshire, which will provide 750
homes in total, with 180 of these being affordable. Kier Living has been
working in partnership with Homes England for
the past two years to progress this development which spans 48 hectares that
will also provide a range of community facilities, including a new primary
school and a commercial centre.
In Thetford, Kier Living will deliver 130 homes, which once again will blend
private and affordable homes. Works will start in July 2021 with the first set
of homes available from December 2021.
The third site that Kier
Living has acquired is in Wrangaton in Devon, which will provide 36 private and
affordable homes. This is an important development for Kier Living, as it is looking
to acquire further land in the south west to support the Government’s
housing ambitions.
Mike Coker, operations director for Kier Living, states: “We are pleased to
have taken important steps forward on these three sites, which will provide vital
new homes and support the Government’s build, build, build strategy.
“As we start work on each of these sites, we will create local
employment and work collaboratively with our skilled and trusted supply chain
partners to deliver quality homes.”
