Kier Living Northern is on Mission Christmas
Alston Grange in Longridge, Taylors Green in Darwen and Dalton’s Way in West Lancashire are official drop off points for gift donations from members of the public.

Mission Christmas is a community initiative led by Rock FM and its Cash for Kids campaign asking people to make gift and cash donations to support youngsters living in poverty. Last year, there were more than 17,500 gift recipients with numbers expected to rise in 2019.

An army of 300 volunteers collect, sort and distribute the gifts through official channels such as schools, social workers and local authorities. Each child receives gifts to the value of £50.

Donations can be dropped off at Kier Livings’ sales offices at the three sites in Lancashire from 10am-5pm daily. Nikki Thompson, Charity Manager for Rock FM’s Cash for Kids, said: “A lot of children do not have the things many of us take for granted at Christmas.

“We collect gifts for children of all ages and genders - thanks to support from members of the public, we become Lancashire’s elves!

“Last year was the first time in my knowledge that we actually ran out of gifts so we are very grateful for any donations, no matter how small.”

Carolyn Walsh, Sales and Marketing Director for Kier Living Northern, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Mission Christmas this year – and we hope our sites at Longridge, Darwen and Dalton will be a convenient drop off points for members of the public.

“Cash for Kids is a very worthy cause and we’re very glad to be part of it.”
