Leading house builder Kier Living Eastern's third annual charity golf competition has raised £7,000 for the Kier Foundation, Kier Group's registered charity.

Over 100 golfers from the house building and construction industries paid to take part in the friendly competition at Wyboston Lakes Golf Course.

Busy solicitors, subcontractors, accountants, suppliers and technical consultants all gave up their time to help raise funds for The Kier Foundation, which supports both Kier's charity partner Macmillan and a myriad of other worthy causes chosen by Kier employees.

Nick Moore, MD of Kier Living Eastern, said: "Yet again we have had a fantastic turn out for our charity golf day and we're delighted to have raised £7,000 for The Kier Foundation. Our thanks go to all who supported the event by taking part, providing a raffle prize or sponsoring a hole."

The winning team, which included Nick Moore, came from Toulsons Carpentry, as did the individual winner, Ben Thompson. The day of golf was followed by a gala dinner and charity raffle, which saw the golfers try to outbid each other to win a selection of prizes that included a signed photograph of former Arsenal footballer Tony Adams.

The golf day is just one of a range of fundraising initiatives organised by Kier Living Eastern throughout the year to raise money for the Kier Foundation.
