Kier Partnership Homes has officially opened King’s Lodge – its exciting new development of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Cinderford in the Forest of Dean – with a corporate launch event attended by Cllr Graham Morgan, chairman of the Forest of Dean District Council Cinderford Regeneration Board; Dr David Garnett, chairman of the Two Rivers Housing Board; Cllr Patrick Molyneux, leader of the Forest of Dean District Council; and Adam Frontczak from the Homes and Communities Agency.

The official opening was also attended by Kier Partnership Homes’ management and other key stakeholders, with the key speakers formally cutting the ribbon to mark the occasion. Guests were invited to look around the development and peruse the three tastefully presented showhomes and landscaped gardens, which are proving so popular with local home-buyers.

The Ashcombe showhome is a pretty two-bed terraced home furnished in pistachio and soft grey, with spacious kitchen/diner and a lovely living area, plus two good-sized bedrooms and en suite to master. The beautifully white-rendered Sherwood, which is decorated in cream with black and peach accessories, comprises a large living room, kitchen/diner and three generous bedrooms, with en suite and fitted wardrobe to master. The Thetford has a neutral colour scheme and provides a generous living space and handy utility room, as well as four bedrooms with wardrobes to the master suite.

Chris King, Kier Partnership Homes’ managing director, welcomed guests to the opening:

“We first bid for this development back in 2011 and have worked with all partners to get the design to a very high standard. These new homes are built to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level Four, making them affordable to run and heat. The result is a great scheme of which we are very proud.”

The King’s Lodge properties offer considerable value for money. Cinderford is an easy commute to Bristol, Gloucester, Monmouth and other areas, including Chepstow and Ross on Wye.

Through Help to Buy* – the government scheme which allows buyers to pay from just 80% but own 100% – a two-bedroom house at King’s Lodge starts from just £109,596, while a three-bedroom house is available from just £121,596 (terms and conditions apply).
