Reginald and Silvia Lilly snapped up a two-bedroom Shelley home after admiring the development during the construction process.
Reginald, 73, explained: “Silvia and I came across Oundle seven years ago when we were living in St Neots, and we said we’d like to retire here. Then when we saw the Queen’s Court development, we thought we’d love to move in if we got the chance.
“It’s a really nice environment – the houses are different styles which makes it look very inviting, and there’s quite a bit of space between them.”
The grandfather-of-two added that the location of Queen’s Court was a major plus point for the couple. “I haven’t been very well recently and my wife can’t drive,” said the retired greyhound trainer. “So it’s great that we can just stroll to the local shops for the bits we need on a day-to-day basis. That was something we didn’t have in St Neots; our house wasn’t close to the amenities which became a problem for us.”
Kier Living’s sales and marketing director David Thomas said: “It’s fantastic to hear how happy Reginald and Silvia are here at Queen’s Court, especially as they’ve wanted to move to Oundle for quite some time. We wish them a very happy life together here.”
Currently, there are seven property types on the market at Queen’s Court, ranging between three and four bedrooms. Prices start at £226,000.
