The couple, who have been together for six years, reserved their two-bedroom Woodrow home off plan in March 2016, unaware at the time that they were to become a family of three. They moved into their semi-detached house on 6 December 2016, and their son Jacob was born less than a month later.
Hairdresser Sarah, 24, explained: “We really liked what the house was going to look like from the plans, and it’s perfect for our family. We’ve got a big kitchen/diner which is great as I really enjoy cooking, and the developer Kier is just finishing a park outside our house. So we’ll have a lovely view and somewhere to take Jacob to play.”
Mapmakers, off Romsey Road, has been built by Kier on the site of the former Ordnance Survey headquarters. The community comprises 66 houses and apartments, a new Tesco Express and a new park. The final phase has now been released with prices starting at £182,500 for a two bedroom apartment and £290,000 for a three bedroom house.
Pip Prongué, Kier Property managing director (South) commented: “It is fantastic to hear how well Sarah, Matt and our youngest resident Jacob have settled into their new home at Mapmakers. With the new Ordnance Park being created just outside their front door, and all the amenities they’ll need nearby, Mapmakers is the perfect environment for them to enjoy a happy family life together and we wish them all the best for the future.”
Mapmakers is just three miles from Southampton city centre and five minutes from the M27 off Romsey Road. It’s within walking distance of two hospitals, a gym and some of Southampton’s most highly rated schools.
