Go Green at Connect 21

7th August 2012

Kier Homes are encouraging everyone in Peterborough to “Go Green” through a new campaign at their city centre development, Connect 21 in Peterborough.

Go Green at Connect 21

The Go Green initiative encourages everyone in the town to get on their bikes and start to cycle to places where they previously might have taken the car.

Two cycle routes have been selected, which both start close to the development and a free map is available to cyclists from the Connect 21 sales office. There is also a large information board outlining the routes and providing further information about cycling in Peterborough.

As part of the Go Green initiative, Kier Homes will also give away a new bike to every new buyer of one of the new houses at Connect 21, encouraging new residents to leave their cars and take the very short ride into the city centre.

The Connect 21 development is a very appropriate host of the Go Green programme. The development has had sustainability at its core since its inception. All the materials taken from the ground during the construction were recycled  on site and reused in other areas of the groundworks programme and the finished homes benefit from all the latest insulation to greatly reduce heating bills.

The cycle routes which all begin at Connect 21 in Potters Way have been designed to offer something for every type of cyclist in Peterborough.
