Two of Kier Living Eastern’s flagship developments, The Fairways in Corby, Northamptonshire and Oakthorpe in Peterborough have both been shortlisted for the magazine’s ‘Best Large Development’ award.
The award is for developments of more than 80 homes, which offer an innovative design and quality that best appeals to first time buyers. It is also awarded based on how it has benefitted the local community.
Oakthorpe ranges from 2 bedroom apartments to 4 bedroom houses in the cathedral city of Peterborough. It sits at the site of the former Peterborough District Hospital, which has provided important regeneration to one of the city’s prime areas. In addition, Kier also helped deliver the new building for West Town Primary Academy in 2015 to offer space for more pupils.
David Thomas, sales and marketing director for Kier Living Eastern says: “We’re very proud that these two prominent developments have been recognised by the First Time Buyer Magazine awards. We have offered both with various schemes to get first time buyers onto the property ladder, including Help to Buy and Stamp Duty incentives.
“We wanted to deliver something truly special with Oakthorpe, and not just with the living spaces, but with the wider community as well. So far 27 of the initial 43 buyers have been first time buyers, a number which we expect to continue growing. “
The Fairways is a collection of new homes in Corby, ranging from 2 bedroom apartments to 4 bedroom detached houses. Every home here offers a high specification throughout, with a strong focus on achieving value and low running costs. It is located in Priors Hall Park, a new 1200 acre community that boasts over 500 acres of parkland, with various cycle paths and woodland walks.
David continued: “The Fairways delivers on value and quality, in a location that encourages active lifestyles. There are also a great range of amenities on the doorstep and is ideally situated to reach major towns and cities, including Sheffield, Leeds and London.
The awards ceremony and lunch is on the 26th April at the London Mariott Hotel Grosvenor Square in Mayfair and will be hosted by Nicki Chapman, host of Escape to the Country.
