Rock FM Cash for Kids appeal helped over 18,000 children and young people in Lancashire enjoy a little bit of magic over the festive period.
Kier Living’s Daltons Way in Dalton, Alston Grange in Longridge and Taylor’s Green in Darwen were official drop off points for gifts for children of all ages from babies to teenagers.
There were generous contributions from residents at our developments, Kier Living members of staff, contractors, local businesses and members of the public.
Mission Christmas volunteers worked around the clock to ensure that the gifts were distributed to families in need via social services, refuges and schools.
A special ‘thank you’ event is taking place at Rock FM this week and a message of thanks from the team at Cash for Kids was sent to Kier Living.
“We believe every child deserves a little bit of magic on Christmas Day and thanks to the support of you and your team we are able to help.
“We can't end child poverty but we can help these children build some enduring childhood memories. We know from the feedback that we receive from the Social Workers and beneficiary organisations that this is the case.”
Carolyn Walsh, Sales and Marketing Director for Kier Living Northern said: “Many thanks to everyone who helped us support the 2019 Mission Christmas gift appeal. We were delighted to be involved in such a rewarding community event.”
