Living in Cambridge
Our new homes in Cambridge don’t just give you a new place to live, they can allow you to make the most of everything this popular and prestigious city has to offer.
Cambridge is of course best known for its famous university and historic buildings, but ultimately there’s something here for all walks of life. For instance, there are all the amenities you need in terms of shops, supermarkets and retail outlets, plus the city boasts a wealth of great independent stores, restaurants and entertainment venues. Moreover, the locals are welcoming and the streets are often busy and playing host to everything from markets, to fairs and the city’s famous folk festival.
Those with families will also find there’s a wide choice of excellent schools across Cambridge. Additionally, the city is also prosperous in terms of employment and serves as a popular commuter opportunity for London.
The university does have an impact on the city in terms of the influx of students that flock there during term time, but with them comes a variety of cultures and a vibrancy that makes Cambridge a very cosmopolitan place to be. At the same time, the university also offers some of the best sights and attractions to enjoy with its iconic grounds and sites like the Bridge of Sighs.
There’s an abundance of green space in the city as well, which is ideal for joggers, bikers and walkers. But equally the River Cam, which runs through Cambridge, offers many idyllic spots for picnics and there are regular riverside events, regattas and opportunities to go rowing or punting.

The Surrounding Area
As mentioned above, Cambridge serves as a commuter city for London thanks to its direct rail connections. However, the main train station offers routes both north and south and the nearby M11 also gives you another useful means of travel around the wider area. What’s more, Stansted Airport sits on this motorway and is under half an hour’s drive from the city.
On top of this, our new homes in Cambridge also benefit from being surrounded by all the delights the county of Cambridgeshire has to offer. The local area is famed for its beautiful countryside, which itself offers a wealth of top things to do, from walks to pleasant days out at stately homes and other historic landmarks. Just a few examples include Ely with its impressive Cathedral, Thetford Forest to the northeast and the stunning Norfolk coast, which is just under an hour’s drive away to the east.
We also have a range of new homes in Oxford available for you to look at.
