Living in Cambridgeshire
Our new homes in Cambridgeshire can be found in some of the most desirable locations this popular county has to offer. This variety of appealing towns and cities is of course one of the biggest draws of the area, particularly as they’re often either set against idyllic rural backgrounds, or home to top sights, excellent commuter links and famous attractions.
As a place to live, Cambridgeshire is a great choice for those with families and those who enjoy the great outdoors - as you’re spoilt for choice with day trips. You can visit one of the county’s many nature reserves, take a mini cruise down the River Great Ouse or ride the Nene Valley Steam Railway, to name just a few examples.
For those who want a bit more excitement there’s the great city of Cambridge, which is famed for its world-renowned university and historical sites. However, as mentioned above, you can easily hop on a train and be in London in under an hour from most of the county’s main cities.
When it comes to important aspects like education, there are some of the country’s best private and state schools to be found around the county. Equally, thanks again to the excellent transport links, all the amenities you need are within easy reach from all our developments.
With all of this, it’s not hard to see why the area also regularly features in UK ‘best places to live’ lists and sees strong growth when it comes to house prices. This financial aspect in particular can certainly be a benefit for those looking at their new home in Cambridge as an investment.
The Surrounding Counties
Looking further afield from our new homes in Cambridgeshire, you will find that by living in this area you’ll also be close to a number of other popular counties.
Neighbouring Bedfordshire for instance is home to top attractions like Whipsnade Zoo and English Heritage sites like Wrest Park. What’s more, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk to the east offer plenty of activities for people of all ages. A number of wonderful beaches line the far side of East Anglia, but there’s also the glorious Norfolk Broads and great cities to visit like Norwich, Milton Keynes and Colchester.
In other words, whether you enjoy country walks, trips to the coast or retail therapy you’re spoilt for choice outside of Cambridgeshire as well as within it.
