In detail...

Boasting a fascinating historic and present-day charm, the village of Fenstanton is nestled in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside. A Roman settlement discovered at The Park has revealed evidence of a thriving community dating back thousands of years.

In the 18th century, landscape gardener and artist Lancelot "Capability" Brown also selected Fenstanton to build a home and was Lord of the Manor. He is remembered in the medieval Parish Church, as is Fenstanton resident, John Howland, one of the Pilgrim Fathers who sailed to America on the Mayflower in 1620.
