One of the smallest villages in Bedfordshire, Biddenham village has been in existence in some form since Roman times. The home to quaint thatched cottages in the older, southern end of the village and large detached houses in the modern, northern end of the village, Biddenham is largely seen as a highly desirable location by people of all ages.
The village itself contains a private hospital, a church, a community centre, a pub and a sports pavilion, as well as Biddenham International School and Sports College. The Bedford Great Denham Golf Village is also right on the doorstep, as is the Alexander Sports Centre, which is part of the University of Bedfordshire.
The village of Biddenham also has a great community spirit, with a wide variety of local events held throughout the year.
The Biddenham Heritage Trail allows you to experience the beauty of the village, while the tranquil village pond is the perfect way to witness some of the village’s wildlife. If you’d like to venture further afield, the River Great Ouse is only a stroll away and provides great walks to connect with nature as well as access to Box End Park Watersports. With our new homes in Biddenham, all of these great activities are right on your doorstep.
Should you fancy venturing further afield, then you’ll find some great activities nearby. Bedford is only an 8-minute car journey away, where you’ll find a number of museums and ancient relics such as the John Bunyan Museum, as well as live entertainment and outdoor parks, such as Bedford Park, which contains several children’s play areas and an abundance of natural wildlife.
